David Andrew Sinclair AO (born June 26, 1969)[2] is an Australian biologist who is a professor of genetics and co-director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School.[3] He is known for his research on aging with a focus on epigenetics. He is an officer of the Order of Australia (AO).

A review for Boston Magazine called Sinclair “one of science’s most controversial figures” and said many in the scientific community were skeptical of claims he made about human longevity. University of Alabama biology professor Steven N. Austad said, “David is a good friend, but I do think he’s been guilty of making excessive claims.”[3]
