How Does Google Make Money From Android?

Android earns revenue by not incurring expenses for being any other Operating System (OS).
In other words: Android earns for not being iOS
Google is, after all, an advertising company (Its major revenue comes from advertising). Which means that displaying advertisements and hitting it to the right target demographic is their primary agenda. Android is your Google data acquirer in a pocket.
How does this work?
Google smartly put up its operating system for free: Which eventually helped cheaper phones to develop as they don’t have to put up with the licensing fee as long as you have the hardware.
Customer base grew until Android had a firm grasp over the market.
Android smartphones have permanent default Google-owned apps like Google search, Google Play, YouTube, Maps etc. The main Android framework is signed in through a Google account too. So you need to have a Google account to use Android.

So why would I say that Android earns money by not being iOS? Because. Google has to pay Apple to be its default search engine. In 2014, Google paid Apple $1bn to be its default search engine. Strategically speaking, iOS is more lucrative than Android is for marketers because Apple users tend to have better purchasing power than Android users, but the number of Android users are way too high to not consider.

Apps are the second big source of money for Google. The company takes a cut from every sale app developers make on the Play Store. And it’s a big store, with over 1.5 million apps, out of which a big chunk are paid apps or apps that offer in-app purchases. Google takes a 30% cut out of every sale, offering in exchange the platform and some of the required infrastructure, including a cloud system for delivering notifications.

如果有人卖 harmonyOS 手机， google 自己不产手机就不会永远免费为别人手机产商免费写android, 将来会退出 android 市场。

What is clear is that Huawei is serious about sticking to Android. When we asked Huawei president of consumer business group Western Europe Walter Ji about an alternative the reply was that Huawei "remains committed to Android ecosystem."
All communication about the future sticks with Android and most recently, the US Department of Commerce has confirmed that it will issue licenses to allow companies to continue to work with Huawei. Even around the launch of HarmonyOS, Huawei continues to state that it's sticking with Android and this isn't a replacement.

HarmonyOS好处

没有五眼谍后门。无论微软google的windows android都设五眼后门，这些米帝的做的系统统称FiveEyeOS。全世界人民需要没有五眼的操作系统。

HarmonyOS用微核microkernel所以基层肯定不是android linux monolithic kernel。microkernel好处是不同类devices可选用所需的微核。

HarmonyOS解决了android JAVA 卡顿问题。 安卓平板不如iPad流行就是因为卡顿，连browser都没法用。现在可好了。
