湾区多地再举行No Kings反川普抗议活动

今年6月,约有500万美国人走上街头,参加全美“No Kings”抗议活动,反对川普总统的移民镇压政策及其他政策。本月,这一运动将再次举行新一轮抗议。

6月抗议活动的组织者呼吁美国民众于10月18日在全美各城市集会游行,再次表达对唐纳德•川普政策的不满。

“No Kings”网站称:“(川普)正在加倍推进他的计划——派遣军事特工进入我们的社区,让选民噤声,并在家庭陷入困境之际向亿万富翁赠送‘礼物’。这不仅是政治问题,更是民主与独裁的较量。我们选择民主。”

第二次游行的宣布通过一场为时一小时的YouTube直播进行,多位来自非营利组织及激进团体的代表发言,包括Indivisible、MoveOn、United We Dream Action和美国教师联合会等。

“No Kings”抗议活动由50501 Movement发起。该运动是美国民众针对“富豪破坏民主制度、公民自由及法治”的回应。根据该组织网站介绍,其名称源于成立目标:在今年2月5日当天于全美50个州同时举行50场抗议活动。此后,他们又组织了多场类似行动,包括2月17日的“No Kings on Presidents' Day”游行和6月14日的“No Kings”抗议。

6月14日的抗议活动恰逢庆祝美国陆军成立250周年的阅兵式以及川普的生日,抗议的目的是转移公众对阅兵式的关注。当时,“No Kings”网站刊文批评该阅兵式是“一场看似力量展示、实则满足川普自我的表演”。

“No Kings”抗议活动属于私人发起的公民行动,没有核心领导层。每场活动都有各自的组织者和举办地点。

“No Kings”网站鼓励人们主动寻找或组织当地抗议活动,并提供多种指导和培训资源,包括冲突缓和、民权教育、安全保障、媒体与数字参与等课程。

随着10月18日的临近,距离下一场“No Kings”抗议活动仅剩数周,当地活动名单正不断增加。目前,该网站已公布了多场将在湾区举行的抗议活动:
